Using Data
Data drives the efforts of St. Paul guidance counselors.  Counselors use data in many ways, from identifying students in need of interventions, to evaluating the effectiveness of our efforts.  Gathering data, however, can be a tricky process, requiring knowledge of computer programs like Campus, Naviance, and Excel.  Below (click on the headings) are methods St. Paul counselors have found useful in the collection of data.

Campus Report - Getting Grades With Advisors
This Campus report, which can be created by using the Filter Designer in the Ad-Hoc Reporting tab in Campus, will give you grade reports that include: advisor/homeroom teacher, class, grades, and course number.  The headings on the left should be entered in the first page of the Ad-Hoc Query Wizard, while the limiters can be identified on the second page through the pull-down menus and manual entry fields.  Click to link.

Staff Presentation
This presentation was designed to share data at a staff meeting to both celebrate building accomplishments, and raise some concerns about struggling students.  Click to link[Thanks to Highland Park Guidance]
